This online article describes research study that examined the effects of two community-based peer-led interventions aimed at addressing the mental health needs of mothers of children with developmental disabilities. The mothers attended either a mindfulness-based stress reduction or a positive adult development group. Mothers in both groups demonstrated reductions in stress, depression, and anxiety, as well as improved sleep and improved ratings of life satisfaction.
