Subtitle
A Review of Evidence on the Use of Interventions, for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Based on the Psychological Model
Author
Sue Fletcher-Watson; Fiona McConnell; Eirini Manola; Helen McConachie
Summary
This online article, in Japanese, summarizes a research review conducted to determine whether Theory of Mind (ToM) training, intended to help people on the autism spectrum understanding the thoughts and feelings of other people, is effective. The article found some evidence suggesting ToM can be taught to people on the autism spectrum, but the authors found little evidence the skill could be maintained or generalized to other contexts.
