Summary
"Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD) is a provincial program, funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) that is designed to specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal children with special needs. ASCD recognizes that inclusion and providing early intervention and support in child care settings during the early stages of development is important. ASCD enables children who require extra support to be included in a childcare, preschool or after-school setting when their parents or caregivers are working or going to school." [ASCD website]
